Meet Nerys, made from the 'bitchy yarn'

Nerys is worked sideways, in Garter Stitch with an attractive lace edging making it reversable = easy to wear. The round shaping is accomplished by working short rows. Designed for that one special skein of variegated luxery yarn.

Materials
Yarn: 382 yds/350 m fingering weight yarn. Colour: Wise Girl.
Sample is shown in Dutch Knitting Design’s Krokus. (350m/100gr)
Needles: 1 US 5/3.75mm circular of length 40 in/100 cm.

Gauge
Not important, though it will affect the finished size.

Sizes
Directions are given for 1 size.
75 in/ 190 cm long and 10 in/ 25 cm wide after blocking.

Herinneren jullie nog het bitchy strengetje wat precies wist wat het wilde worden? Nou het patroon is geschreven, de nederlandse versie had ik per ongeluk over de engelse versie heen gesaved dus dat moest ik nog even opnieuw schrijven. Voor de mensen die het patroon al hadden gekocht tijdens de brei en haakdagen, er zijn errata, ze staan onderaan de listing en je kunt ze ook terug vinden op de website.

Nerys wordt gebreid vanaf de zijkant in ribbelsteek met een aantrekkelijk kant randje. De ronde vorm wordt verkregen door middel van verkorte toeren.

Materialen
Garen: 350 m fingering gewicht garen. Kleur: Wise Girl.
Voorbeeld is gemaakt in Dutch Knitting Design's Krokus. (350m/100gr)
Naalden: 3.75mm rondbreinaald met een lengte van 100 cm.

Stekenverhouding
Niet belangrijk, al heeft een ander gewicht garen wel effect op de uiteindelijke grootte.

Maat
Beschrijving wordt gegeven in 1 maat: 190 cm breed en 25 cm diep in het midden.

Errata: in de nederlandse versie die verkocht is tijdens de brei en haakdagen was een foutje in geslopen. In rij 6 van de opzet moet je eindigen met 3r dus niet meer de 1a, 2r breien.die heb je in rij 5 al afgekant. Dit geld ook voor de rijen 4, 8, 12, 16 en 20 van de body en rij 4 van het einde.

Candria is speccially designed for a workshop true lace. The shawl is worked from the neck down and the border is later knitted on.

Yarn: MC: 228 yrds/210 m CC: 174 yrds/160 m in fingering weight Sample is made in Kidsilk Haze from Rowan.
Needles: US5/3.75mm circular of length 80 cm/ 32 inch or other size to obtain gauge.

19 sts and 22 rows = 4 in /10 cm in pattern stitch, after blocking.

Directions are given for 1 size
120 cm / 47.2 inch wide and 60 cm /23.6 in long at center.

Notes

• To enlarge the body keep repeating rows 1-8 of chart B. To complete 1 flower pattern you’ll need 0.47 gr (that’s aprox. 4m/4.5 yrd)
  Calculation: Number of flowers multiplied by 0.47= total grams you’ll need. Keep in mind that you also need some yarn for the ending
• For the border: for every 6 sts of the body you’ll make 1 repeat of the border pattern. For 1 repeat you’ll need 0.35 gr (that’s aprox. 3m/3.25 yrd)
  Calculation: total sts devided by 6, then multiplied by 0.35 = total grams you’ll need.

Audria is a cute little beret perfect for the spring. You don’t need much yarn to make it so you can use one of those precious expensive skeins of yarn for it. The beret is worked in the round from the hem to the crown. The lace pattern is easy enough for working on it at your knitting group.

Materials
Yarn: 175 197, 218, 229, 251 yds/160 180, 200, 210, 230 m fingering weight yarn (this is for the slouchy version, for the normal version it’s about 22-32 yds/ 20-30m less). Sample shown in EasyKnits Alpaca/Silk.
Needles: 1 US 4/3.5 mm circular of length 16 in/40 cm, or double pointed needles.

26 sts and 33 rows = 4 in /10 cm in pattern stitch, after light blocking.

Shawl to Dye For

Shawl to Dye for is the perfect shawl for your own dyed yarn. The pattern is a real addition to the colors. Since the body is Stockinette and Garter Stitch, it will keep you warm on a chilly evening. And to add some flair, it has a border with an open worked lace pattern that evolves into a wave pattern.
Materials
Yarn: 490 yds/450 m sport weight yarn. Sample is shown in bio wool of the Pottekaas hoeve in my own natural multi dye color

Vivacia

And in the meantime I released Vivacia!
Vivacia can be worn as a capelet in the version I made, or if you keep repeating the pattern, it becomes a shawl to snuggle into on cold evenings. I wanted to design something that only needed 1 skein of Noro to celebrate their wonderful use of color.
Materials Yarn: 328yds/300m fingering weight yarn. Sample shown in Noro Silk Garden Sock (40% lambswool, 25% silk, 25% nylon, 10% kid mohair) Needles: US 8/5 mm circular of length 32 in/80 cm at least.

Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows = 4 in /10 cm in garter stitch.

Rok voor mijzelf / Skirt for me

Eindelijk heb ik foto's van de rok die ik had gemaakt voor mijzelf. De kinderen hebben herfstvakantie deze week dus we hadden tijd om ff lekker een stuk te gaan wandelen in de bossen en tegelijkertijd wat foto's te maken. Het was prachtig weer, de zon scheen en al die verschillende kleuren van de bladeren waren prachtig. Het patroon van de rok, die ik Carmine heb genoemd, is al klaar om gepubliceerd te worden maar ik houd het nog even vast omdat ik de komende 2 weken een advertentie heb lopen op de voorpagina van Ravelry. En ik wil eerst even zien hoe dat loopt. En nu is het tijd om naar het zwembad te gaan, de kinderen lekker zwemmen terwijl manlief en ik 2 uurtjes in het bubbelbad zitten ;-)

I finally managed to make some pics from the skirt I made for myselve. The kids have a short holliday this week so we went to the forrest to walk a few miles, and take some pics. It was a beautifull sunny day and I loved the way the leaves looked with all those different colors. The pattern, I called it Carmine btw, is ready to publish but I'm holding on to it, cause I'm running an ad on ravelry for the next 2 weeks and I want to see how that goes. And now it's time to takethe kids to the pool where they can swim, and DH and I can sit for 2 hours in the jacuzzi :-)

Spiral Cowl

Dit was een werkje tussendoor, ik had die mooie Rowan liggen (Extra Fine Merino DK) en ik wilde een lekker kolletje voor in mijn leren jas, en het patroontje is super makkelijk te onthouden, dus dit was een heerlijk ontspannend werkje in al die wachtkamers. Het patroon is wel al verkrijgbaar op Ravelry, maar ik moet 'm nog op de website zetten.

This was a nice knit in between, I had some beautifull Rowan Extra Fine Merino DK lying around and I wanted a nice cowl for with my leather coat. The pattern repeat is super easy to memorize, so it really was a very relaxing knit, while I was waiting for appointments. The pattern is allready available through Ravelry. I still need to upload it on my website

Sunshine / Sunshine

Eindelijk klaar!!! En ik heb meteen bewezen dat ik meer koffie moet drinken, ik kreeg mijn breibeschrijving terug van de tech-editor, en door heel het patroon heen heb ik gedacht dat 4+4 7 was. Gelukkig heb ik een tech-editor die dit soort dingen op spoort, zij zorgt er voor dat mijn patronen er piek fijn uitzien

She's ready!!! It's proven I should drink more coffee. I got the pattern back from the tech-editor and through out the pattern I thought that 4+4=7 lol

Zo he, he. De vakantie is voorbij, de kinderen zijn vandaag weer naar school gegaan. De rust is wedergekeerd (voor zover dat kan met 3 kinderen..:-) )

Inmiddels heb ik wel een nieuw patroon af wat morgen naar de editor gaat.Best Girl heb ik ontworpen voor de bruiloft van mijn oudste broer, waar ik getuige was.

Ik ben nog steeds aan het knutselen met het progamma dat ik heb geschreven om uit te rekenen hoeveel garen je nodig hebt. Ik heb het geschreven in excell, en ik krijg het maar niet voor elkaar om cellen apart te beveiligen. Ik heb met Max gesproken,en ik weet nu hoe ik het op de website kan zetten. Maar voor nu wil ik alleen maar mijn laptop uit het raam gooien als ik ermee bezig ben. :-( Tot gauw!

He, he, holidays are over. Finally some peace and quiet here, now the kids are going to school again.

I designed Best Girl for the wedding of my brother, where I was his maid of honourI'm still looking into the yardage calculation. I wrote a program in excell, but I can't get it to secure seperate cells, and it's freaking me out right now. I know how I can put it on the website, I talked to Max about it. But for now, I only want to throw my laptop out of the window, when I'm working on it :-( see you soon!

Patroon ajour bolero / Pattern lace bolero

De afgelopen dagen hard gewerkt, maandag naar de beurs in arnhem geweest en weer wat leuke zomergarens besteld bij Lammy Yarns. Het is altijd super leuk om naar de beurs te gaan. Een dagje zonder kinderen en samen met Diana en ons mam was het erg gezellig. Lang leve de telefoon zodat we elkaar konden bellen als we elkaar weer kwijt waren. En dat gebeurde regelmatig. LOL .

Ik heb ook weer een aantal patronen af de nederlandse beschrijving en de Engelse vertaling van de Ajourbolero is af. Ook af is het patroon van het gehaakte rokje. Ik ga ze nog apart listen voor degene die meer wil weten of die ze wil kopen. Morgen ga ik het gratis patroon schrijven van het zomertopje Tijd om te breien (en kijken naar NCIS)

I have been working very hard the last few days. monday I went to a fair only for retailers, and as always, it's so much fun. I went with Diana and my mom. TG for cellphones, we used them often cause we were constantly looking for eachother, so easy to just call; where the H are you? LOL I also finished some patterns in English and Dutch The Lace Bolero and The crochet skirt. I will post them seperatly for anyone who wants to now more or buy them.Tomorrow I'll start writing on the free pattern of the summertop.

Verbetering van mijn Etsy shop / Improving my Etsy shop

En voor je het weet zijn er alweer 4 dagen voorbij. Mijn opdracht is af en opgehaald, ik ben bezig met 4 verschillende patronen te schrijven, en ik moet toegeven da's niet zo handig. Verder ben ik bezig geweest om een aantal listings in mijn Etsy shop te verbeteren en dat is volgens mij wel gelukt Eerst alle voorbladen van mijn patronen hetzelfde gemaakt en daarna alles uitgeprint en gelamineerd en samen met de wol gefotografeerd voor de breipaketten. Nu is het tenminste duidelijk in mijn shop wanneer je een patroon koopt of een breipakket of een kant en klaar produkt

And before you know it it's 4 days since I posted the last time. I finished my custom order, and I'm writing 4 patterns at the same time. I have to admit that's not the brightest thing I've ever done. The rest of the time I spend on improving my Etsy shop, and I think I did a great job.

I first made all of my first pages in the same frame, then I printed everything and laminated them. I took some pics with the pattern and the yarn for the knitting kits. Now it's clear when your are buying a pattern, a knitting kit or a finished item
