Persoonlijk / Personal

Last monday I got a phone call from Ingrid from Sint Marie (a research centre for speech and language problems). All of the tests are enough to go ahead with applying for a special school for Stijn. She told me that he probably didn't even needed the ASD diagnose to get in! It's just a strange feeling, this is what we wanted for so long and now the end of it is in sight, so we got some mixed feelings here. It's fantastic he finally can go to a school where he will be heard instead of ignored. But at the same time it's a sad feeling. He's a very intelligent boy, but because of his problems everything he's thinking can come out, at least not in a way that someone else gets it, so he gets really frustrated. But we hope that he get's some help for that on a special school. Now we first have to apply with the diagnostic regional team and if they aproove, they apply Stijn to the indication committee. If they aproove and the school doesn't have any waitinglists, he can probably start in Januari. We didn't tell him, and we aren't going to do that, untill everything is arranged. No need to upset him so long before. Well we will see how it goes.
On the knitting front. I'm finished with the ribbing part of Meursault and I'm going to start the cabled lace pattern. I'll post some pics tonight Now I'm going to watch some CSI and knit ;-)
